Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox One will not support playback of 3D Blu-rays just yet but the feature has not been entirely ruled out
Sony, on the other hand, has stated in the official online FAQ that the PlayStation 4 will support playback of 3D games, but unlike the support for 3D Blu-ray movies on the PS3 it has not been confirmed whether it will be a feature of the new PS4.
According to CNET, "It remains to be seen how much people care about 3D Blu-ray playback, but Microsoft doesn't appear to think it's an important enough feature to have available at launch."
Users are told however that the may be added in the future.
The console, which will hit stores on the 22nd November, has recently been received by a lucky few after an error occured in Target's pre-order system.
One user, Moonlightswami, announced that Microsoft's next-gen console took around 17 seconds to boot up with a 500GB first day patch.
Unlike Sony's PS4, last weekend Microsoft confirmed that the Xbox One will support DLNA streaming, meaning it will stream media from other devices, and playback for audio CDs.
